Smartphone terbaru dari vendor asal Tiongkok, Xiaomi memang sudah merasakan update OS terbaru MIUI 9 pada bulan November lalu. Namun di bawah mereka, perangkat seperti Redmi Note 3. Redmi 3s Prime, Redmi 4a dan perangkat lama lainnya belum mendapatkan update MIUI 9 ini. Xiaomi sudah mulai merilis update ini (masih dalam android Marshmallow) untuk Redmi Note 3. Kelihatannya perusahaan memang sengaja meng-skip update MIUI 9 untuk Redmi Note 3 dan langsung ke versi 9.2.

Update MIUI 9.2 Redmi Note 3

Update terbaru ini dengan nama MIUI 9.2.4.0.MHOMIEK berukuran hanya 290MB saja. Update ini datang dengan pembaharuan keamanan bulan Januari untuk Redmi Note 3. Sebagai catatan bahwa update ini masih bersifat Nightly build (masih terdapat sedikit bug dan update berkala). Untuk versi Stable Nightly akan diberikan ke beberapa user secara acak dalam kurung waktu 2-3 hari.

Update miui ini pun mendatangkan berbagai pembaharuan seperti perubahan UI yang lebih fresh, aplikasi galeri baru, kartu kalender, App Vault, Mi Video, Mi Explorer baru dan Mi Drop pada Redmi Note 3. Dengan update tersebut, perangkat Xiaomi akan mendapatkan fitur split screen namun hanya berlaku pada versi android Marshmallow ke atas.
